Canada’s premier gamelan music group Evergreen Club Contemporary Gamelan (ECCG) celebrates the launch of its 40th Anniversary Season in partnership with the Indonesian Consulate General in Toronto, and its guest artist, renowned Indonesia composer, performer, and educator Iwan Gunawan.

This project has been developed since Gunawan and ECCG first collaborated at the 2018 International Gamelan Festival Munich. Gunawan will visit Toronto from his home in Bandung, West Java, to conduct three weeks of workshops, rehearsals, and repertoire development. This concert features two world premieres, developed in the course of this project, and selections from the ECCG's extensive collection of original and commissioned compositions.
